decades (the age that is becoming of us)

it is amazing to be able to observe the evolution of pop-culture, the changing tides of meaning, and the bloated perversion of reality.

for example, in the last five years Starbucks has single-handedly redefined what "one cup" of coffee means and measures up to for the average drinker. fifty years ago, one cup meant a dainty pour into something the size one might imagine at a tea party hosted by jane austin.

i suppose that was we get "older" (hu-hum, more "mature," whoopty-doo), we are likewise to see such progressive phenomena, for as days become years and years become—decades—we witness the age that is becoming of us.
