45. Be Inspired By Others
As much as I tout the importance of self-reliance, I would also advocate that it is important to let others inspire you as well.
Peruse the galleys randomly and see what you can find. You never know when a certain angle, color combination, or subject will launch you into a new and exciting direction.
And regardless of what you think about the overall quality of others’ work, there is almost always something there to remind you about the infinite realm of possibilities or the definite pool of trite ideas which you should not pursue.
