the lost man chronicles
the daily chronicle

true love is blind, deaf and numb

I, i
could get to know you
interminably.

should we succeed and indeed
not succumb to participating
in the masquerade of modern love;

should we avoid performing
affectations in the theater of tomorrow
that relationships have us play;

should we not jump in today
and ride the rocketship
fueled by loneliness and lust;

then, i would solemnly trust—
we just might last
another day.

which may be
just long enough
for us to know each other.
