the lost man chronicles
the heart of a genius .42

the heart of a genius races faster than most and has the capacity to circulate passion and purpose through her veins at a rate much greater than average. her mind, as most presume, is abnormally agile at perceiving truth. it is only the body that lies and proves the traitor against all her ultimate and awesome potential. limited by mortality, the body is ultimately weak, but the mind and will of the genius help it suspend its inherent belief that it is limited by its betraying form and limited store of energy.

the body must feed, sleep and exercise itself in order to maintain its health, the other two are often sustained on ideas and imagination alone. how sad it is that the end of corporal growth usually proves to be the start of when one’s genius truly begins growing. it is no wonder that madness incurs when a reconciliation between them cannot be had.
