The Third Day: reemerging as the bennu .04

~ Symbolum Apostolorum

acting purely and upon impulse, i wiped clean all that i had been, so that with one fell swoop, what once was would no longer unduly sway what i am and what i was, and together— what i may become.

and in the beginning there was light which swept over the water, and in the water life was one.

hence, the deluge of my once-were words have washed away the dissonance which once rung athud in my crowded soul. clean and alone, i can now go forward to grow anew.

as a result of this volition i have again annihilated another me, that which can no longer be, because i have willed and acted upon my destiny to steer it in another direction.

"Anyone who is capable of love must at some time have wanted the world to be a better place, for we all want our loved ones to live free of suffering, injustice and heartbreak. The imaginative excitement (of utopian ideas) comes from the recognition that everything inside our heads, and much outside, are human constructs and can be changed…Thus, they aim at a New World, which must first destroy the old" ~ Faber Book of Utopias, John Carey

thus, just as others may have influenced my fate by acting upon who i was, now they can only manipulate what i propel my self to seem in the here and now of my individual eternity.

and i proceed not as what i would have been, but what i will become, because i am not what i am, but what i am becoming.

for when one realizes how dynamic life really is, then one truly lives, and truly is.

life never repeats itself, one can never step in the same stream. it is only history that seems to remain staid and unforgiving when we allow it to curse our future.

"History is a nightmare from which I am trying to awake." ~ James Joyce
