25 More Lessons (I've) Learned
30. Alter Your Path

Despite the preceding reminder that there is endless beauty everywhere, I also have learned that it is just as easy to change direction every once in a while in order to discover something new to take photos of. So be ¡whimsical! and make an effort to go down a different avenue from and to your way to work. If you drive, leave a little earlier and give yourself sometime to stop should you come across something that merits your attention.

Oh, but the meaning of does not stop there...for altering your path also means reorienting your cognitive path as well. Constantly challenge yourself and rethink your position, be spontaneous, experiment, question your perspective on "reality." For if there is anything that photography can do to improve our lives it is to show us that in fact there are a million and one perspectives to be taken for every single thing - macro'd, thrown in the air, shot from the ground, smashed, taken apart, pondered over, photoshopped, cropped, desaturated and scrutinized by fellow photographers who also have un millón de maneras de ver la luz.... (a million other ways to see light).

*¡un ejemplo fantástico!: Atención's One hand can stop reality.
