25. Recharge Your Batteries


Both the kind you place in the carriage with the pretty little night light, as well as those which drive you forward into the twilight. (Note: I’m quite serious about using rechargeable batteries for your digital camera, well worth the small investment. In fact, I highly recommend buying two sets.)

Repose is crucial to being prepared to take full advantage of opportunity. Rest and take care of yourself by eating well, exercising (even if it merely means walking everywhere) and taking it easy on the vices.

Carry a water bottle with you too when you go out to take pictures, hydration is crucial to the proper functioning of your mind, body and spirit. Just make sure that it is not in the same compartment as your camera, lest it spill and ruin more than the day.
