25 Lessons I Have Learned
22. Everyday is Extraordinary

It is natural for us to lament the doldrums, the banality, and the ennui of our existence.

Seemingly the grass is always greener on the other side, but in reality, it is often just as green, if not greener on our side. Just take a look around you, whether you live in a small town in Ohio right off of Main Street or in the projects of Morningside Heights Manhattan, our surroundings are rich with photogenic opportunity.

It is merely a matter of widening our perspectives and making an effort to make something out of nothing. For everyday is truly extraordinary, if only because we are healthy and alive and astute enough to see the glory of the sunrise and the stark beauty of split soda on a city sidewalk (link).
